Across town or across the country... we can move you Piggy Packer Rentals' range of light trucks and furniture vans are available for transporting your goods, whatever your requirements, long or short term, around town or intercity. Let our experienced cartage managers advise you on the best cartage solution for your needs. DIY Furniture Trucks If you are moving flat or just have a few items to transport, our 10m3 and 12m3 light trucks are ideal for moving furniture and belongings. The minimum hire period is 1/2 day (1-4 hours), during our working hours from 8am to 4:30pm everyday. Our medium sized 15m3 and 18m3 DIY trucks are most suitable for small to medium house lot removals. Larger items such as bed bases and mattresses can be accommodated. There is normally enough space for an average home's contents, but if you're in doubt we recommend going to a larger capacity truck. The minimum hire period for these trucks is a 4 hour half-day from Monday-Wednesday only.

If you're moving locally, making multiple smaller trips is often convenient. However if you're planning to move a longer distance, using a larger capacity truck is definitely the more economical option. Piggy Packers' 21m3 furniture trucks are suitable for large house lots and for long distance removals. A rear loading platform makes loading heavy or bulky whiteware & furniture easier. Additional tie down straps, and protective wool blankets are available for hire to ensure all your valuable furniture is well protected during the journey. No half-day hire period is available for these trucks.

Rental Info
All Piggy Packers' trucks come with a minimum of 6 tie down straps. Walk up ramps are supplied with 15m3 trucks or larger. Additional protective wool blankets and hand trolleys are also available for hire.

Please note that our 10-15m3 trucks can be driven using a full valid car driving license (class 1) if you're over the age of 21. We have a limited number of 18 cube trucks that can also be driven using a full valid car driving license (class 1) if you're over the age of 21.  The larger 18m3 and 21m3 trucks require drivers to have a valid heavy trade license (class 2).

Reducing Excess Available
For your peace of mind, you can purchase optional insurance. This reduces the liability (excess) to an affordable amount if you damage the vehicle or are involved in an accident.

NZRA 24hr Roadside Assistance is available with all our rental vehicles (through NZ Roadside Assist providers).

• NO UNLIMITED KMs apply to trucks

• Additional km charged at 40c per km for 10-18m3 trucks

Conditions

1. Drivers License Requirements:
   The Authorised Driver of the vehicle must be over 21 years of age and possess a current full valid drivers license. Any other Authorised Drivers who may drive the vehicle must produce a current full valid drivers license.
2. Deposits and Payments:
   A deposit may be required at time of booking to secure your vehicle reservation. Full payment for your intended rental period is required at the time of collection. Payment can be made by credit card, eftpos or cash only. CHEQUES, AMEX & DINERS CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 
3. Insurance:
   Insurance is available and recommended for each vehicle to cover your intended rental period. Also available are our reducing excess rates.
4. Fuel Supplied On Pickup:
   All vehicles are initially supplied with a full tank of fuel. It is your responsibility to return the vehicle with a full fuel tank, otherwise a surcharge of $25 will apply for our refueling service in additional to the estimated cost of the fuel used.
